The Roma2 Department, like all other INGV institutional Departments, is a scientific structure pursuing the INGV overall strategic and program objectives.
The Department, run by an Executive Director, consists of 6 Research Units, charged with systematic scientific and technical functions and, of 2 Projects Units carrying out fixed-term research projects.
The broad range of thematic disciplines covered by the Department (from atmospheric and marine observations to oceanographic and space studies, almost the entire spectrum of the complex Sun-Earth interactions) is well reflected in the Department structure.
